Hunter Harris

Hunter Harris joins Walter White’s coaching staff in 2023, after catching on his roster from 2019-22.

Harris appeared in 90 games in his three seasons with the Otters, starting 79.  Offensively, he scored 32 runs, tallied six extra-base hits and drove in 20 runs.  Behind the plate, Harris boasted a stellar .993 fielding percentage, committing just four errors in 579 total chances. He erased 17-41 attempted base stealers, the fourth most in program history.

In his senior season, Harris served as Coach White’s starting catcher, starting 47 games behind the dish and helping lead the Otters to the 2022 CCAA regular season title.  He logged a career-high 31 hits, 22 runs and 17 RBI that season, en route to being named as an honorable mention All-CCAA selectee.

Prior to his time with the Otters, Harris was a two time All-Mission Valley League selection at Newark Memorial High School, and spent two seasons at Chabot College. He graduated from CSUMB with a degree in kinesiology.
