Autumn Day Caps Career As All-American

Day become sixth Otter to be named first team All-America

SEASIDE, Calif. — Autumn Day (Murrieta Valley HS) capped her illustrious Cal State Monterey Bay water polo career by being named an NCAA Division II All-American by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC).

She becomes the 13th Otter to earn All-America recognition and the sixth to be named to the first team. Otter polo players have garnered 23 All-America awards overall and 10 first team nods since the program began in 2005.

Day led the Otters and finished third in the Western Water Polo Association with a career-high 96 points this season. She finished fifth in the WWPA  with a team-leading 62 and eighth with 34 assists.

After completing her degree in psychology last month, Day ends her CSUMB career ranked ninth all-time in goals and assists, seventh all-time in points and 15th all-time in shots. She also leaves the Otter Tank ranked amongst CSUMB's career leaders in field blocks (6th), drawn exclusions (9th) and steals (10th).
