SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's basketball team posted a furious comeback, but it was not enough as the Otters dropped the last game of their homestand, 64-61, to Cal State East Bay Saturday afternoon at the Kelp Bed.
Down 28-20 at the half, CSUMB rallied for 41 second half points, including a 23-point fourth quarter, but ran out of time to overtake the Pioneers.
Senior transfer
Ella Doherty poured in a game-high 25 points on 9-of-12 shooting and pulled down four boards. The 25-point output was her fourth game with over 20-or-more points.
Newcomer
Leah Sarabia recorded a career-high 10 rebounds and added six points, while
Sha'nece Garrett tallied 10 points, four steals and handed out three assists.
