Puako, Hawai'i – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's golf team put a close to its fall season with a 15
th place finish at the Southwest Airlines HPU Shark Shootout held at the Mauna Lani Golf Course.
"Tilda played great today. It was an easy 72, hitting 15 greens and making 18 pars," head coach
Jim Ragan said. "She gave herself several looks at birdie they just wouldn't fall today. I am really proud and happy for her with the outstanding fall she had. Tilda tied the all-time CSUMB women's team single round scoring record with a 67 in Las Vegas. She is also on record setting pace for our women's program. Team-wise we made some positive strides today. We have a break now to put in the work necessary to prepare for the spring season."
Tilda Kvarnrud once again paced the Otters, placing sixth overall with back-to-back rounds of even-par. The senior only posted one bogey in the 36 holes played in the tournament.
Mia Golovich was 44
th overall with a 14-over 158 and
Keahna Castillo was 68
th at 26-over.
Morgan Pittman was 75
th at 43-over.
The Otters will return to action on Feb. 3, at the LA Spring Kickoff held at the Rio Hondo Golf Club in Downey.
