WAIKALOA, Hawai'i — The Cal State Monterey Bay women's golf team posted a 14
th place finish at the Dennis Rose Invitational Tuesday at the Waikaloa Village Golf Course.
"Tilda did a good job posting consistent rounds to lead us again this tournament," head coach
Jim Ragan said. "She is a great example of a player that entered our program as a freshman and through hard work and persistence has improved her game yea-by-year. The team struggled again, but we did improve by 10 strokes today versus the first round, which is progress. We are looking forward to regrouping and competing again Friday at the Southwest Airlines Shark Shootout."
In the second and final round of the invitational the Otters posted a 35-over 323 to finish play with an overall score of 81-over 657.
Senior
Tilda Kvarnrud once again paced the Otters, carding a 4-over 76 to finish 14
th overall at 7-over.
Sophomore
Mia Golovich finished the invite at 16-over to place 55
th overall. She posted a 7-over 79 in the final round.
Morgan Pittman and
Keahna Castillo rounded out the Otters at 69
th and 74
th respectively. Pittman carded a final round score of 9-over and Castillo followed at 15-over.
The Otters will remain in Hawaii, flying from the Big Island to Oahu for the HPU Sharks Shootout Oct. 25–26. That tournament will close the fall portion of the Otter golf season.
