SEASIDE, Calif. -- With 12 games remaining in the regular season, the Cal State Monterey Bay baseball began an all important home-stretch with Sonoma State on Friday afternoon at the Otter Sports Complex. The Otters plate three runs in the first inning and never looked back en route to a 15-5 explosion in game one of the 4-game set.
CSUMB got help from two SSU errors in the bottom of the first inning which led to the 3-run inning. The Otters then doubled their first inning output in the second inning with a 6-run inning to take a 9-1 lead early on. It continued to be all Monterey Bay throughout as CSUMB scored one in the third inning and then five more runs in the sixth inning to put the game out of reach in the 15-5 final.
