Otters outshoot Wildcats, 16-6

BOX SCORE SEASIDE, Calif. — The Cal State Monterey Bay men's soccer team was locked into a all-out battle against Chico State on Sunday afternoon at the Otter Sports Complex. Through 22 combine shots, neither team was able to record a score as the game ended in a 0-0 tie after two sudden death overtime periods.

Both defenses held strong as the players wore out the middle of the field.

This is the first tie of the season for CSUMB as they move to 2-2-1, 0-1-1 CCAA

THE GAME WAS OVER WHEN... The scoreboard read triple zeros at the end of the second overtime period, ending the game in a 0-0 tie.

SHOT LEADERS... Alejandro Garcia (Oxnard College) led the Otters with three shots with one on target. Jorge Herrera (West Valley College), Osvaldo Espinoza (Oxnard College), and Adam Voloder (Sydney, Australia) all chipped in with two shots a piece.

ITS A TIE!... The last time the Otter men's soccer team found themselves deadlocked with an opponent at the end of 110 minutes was October 17, 2014 against UC San Diego. That was a 0–0 nail biter as well.
