BOX SCORE SEASIDE, Calif. — The Cal State Monterey Bay men's soccer team was locked into a all-out battle against Chico State on Sunday afternoon at the Otter Sports Complex. Through 22 combine shots, neither team was able to record a score as the game ended in a 0-0 tie after two sudden death overtime periods.
Both defenses held strong as the players wore out the middle of the field.
This is the first tie of the season for CSUMB as they move to 2-2-1, 0-1-1 CCAA
THE GAME WAS OVER WHEN... The scoreboard read triple zeros at the end of the second overtime period, ending the game in a 0-0 tie.
SHOT LEADERS... Alejandro Garcia (Oxnard College) led the Otters with three shots with one on target.
Jorge Herrera (West Valley College), Osvaldo Espinoza (Oxnard College), and
Adam Voloder (Sydney, Australia) all chipped in with two shots a piece.
ITS A TIE!... The last time the Otter men's soccer team found themselves deadlocked with an opponent at the end of 110 minutes was October 17, 2014 against UC San Diego. That was a 0–0 nail biter as well.

Rob Cummings need to use some fresh legs so he used 12 bench players including
Rogelio Santiago (Taft College) who played in his first game as an Otter this afternoon
THEY'VE GOT NEXT...The Otters will hit the road for the next two weeks with two trips to Southern California. Stop number one will on Friday, September 23 when the Otters visit Cal State San Bernardino. Kick off is set for 3:00 p.m.
