Brian Haggett's (Hollister, Calif./Sacramento State) double to right center. Garcia followed it up with a single down the left line to plate Haggett and put CSUMB in the lead 2-0.
An RBI single by Garcia in the third inning made it 3-0. The Otters drew another run in the fourth on
Tommy George's (Elk Grove, Calif./Elk Grove HS) single that brought freshman
Ty Morris (Royal Oaks, Calif./North Monterey County HS) across the plate after he leadoff the inning with a double.
CSUEB's lone run came in the ninth on Kyle Zozaya's RBI single. He led the Pioneers with two hits that included a double.
