STANISLAUS, Calif. – The No. 24 Cal State Monterey Bay women's volleyball team rebounded with three straight set victories after falling in the opening one to clinch the win over Cal State Stanislaus on Friday night. Final scores were 20-25, 25-22, 25-17 and 25-15.
The Otters improve to 11-2 overall and 9-2 in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play while the Warriors drop to fifth in the conference standing with a record of 6-4 (9-6 overall).
Junior #Rheann Fall# nabbed her eighth double-double of the season, 20 kills and 15 digs. Junior #Melanie Lashbrook# notched 12 kills and four total blocks. Salinas standout freshman #Lacee Ventura# racked up three aces and 13 digs.
The Warriors were led by Lianne Vicchio's 14 kills and Andrea Fett's four aces.
This was the Otters' sixth match of the season recording double-digits in aces, finishing with 10 in four sets.
The Otters next compete at Chico State (8-8, 3-7 CCAA) on Saturday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m.
