BELMONT, Calif. --- #Eva Arzola#'s goal in the 84th minute of play was the difference as Cal State Monterey Bay defeated rival Notre Dame de Namur University 3-2 Wednesday afternoon at NDNU.  The Otters' first ever win over the Argos improves their record to 4-8-2 while the NDNU falls to 4-9-1 on the season.

#Sarah Alderson# answered Lesley Welch's early goal for NDNU with a goal off an assist from #Loren Schofield# to even the score at 1-1 just 11 minutes into the match.  The score remained 1-1 until the 55th minute of play when Catherine Ponce gave the Argos a 2-1 advantage.

The Otters' Alderson countered again with her second goal of the contest off an assist from #Jessica Hendricks#.  With just over seven minutes left in the match, CSUMB put the game away on the winning goal by Arzola off a throw-in by #Cassidy Bennett#.

The Otters return to the road for CCAA contests at Sonoma State Friday, Oct. 19th and at Humboldt State Sunday, Oct. 21st.
